How does the Narwal Freo Z10 prevent hair tangles on its side brushes?

Narwal Freo Z10 features our Dynamic Auto Detangling Side Brushes designed to fight tangles and mess. Here's how it works:

The V-shaped bristles adjust independently for different surfaces, minimizing hair buildup.
The side brush automatically reverses and merges bristles to loosen hair, which is then directed to the roller brush.
A final untangling check ensures no stubborn knots remain before docking.

What should I do if hair gets tangled in the side brush?

To prevent tangling due to wear and tear, we recommend replacing the side brush every three months. If you notice hair tangling, please follow these steps:

Remove the side brush and clear hair from both ends.
Use scissors to cut and remove tangled hair.
Check for frayed bristles before reinstalling.

Note：If your side brush experiences non-human-induced damage within three months of purchase, please feel free to contact Narwal Customer Support team for a replacement.

The Narwal Freo Z10 features an intelligent obstacle-detection system to dynamically adjust its edge-cleaning strategy:

Straight Wall Extension – The mop pad fully extends outward, ensuring complete coverage along flat walls.
Extend for Furniture Edges - When navigating furniture edges, the mop intelligently extends while swinging, eliminating blind spots with precision.
Automatic retraction – The mop retracts during turns, obstacle crossings, or navigation to avoid collisions.
Corner Reverse – In corners, the robot performs a targeted backward mopping pass to ensure complete coverage.

How does the Narwal Freo Z10 clean carpets safely and effectively?

The Freo Z10 uses carpet-friendly technology to clean your carpets without damage. Here's how it works:

Precision Sensors: Uses advanced ultrasound to detect carpets accurately—no mistaking tile gaps or hardwood floors for carpets.
Auto-Raise Mop: Lifts the mop 12mm when crossing carpets to avoid wetting or staining them.
Power Boost: Automatically increases suction for deep cleaning on carpets without using the mop.

Important Notes:

The default setting avoids carpets to protect them. To enable carpet cleaning, go to the app and turn on Carpet Mode. The steps are: Map Editing > Carpet > Clean the Carpet.
Works Best On: Carpets under 20mm thick with pile height ≤ 0.7cm. Thicker or denser rugs (like rubber-backed ones) may not be detected properly.
Safety First: If your carpets exceed the limits, turn OFF carpet mode in the app to avoid issues.

Can the Narwal Freo Z10 detect stairs to avoid falls?

Yes. The Freo Z10 has Cliff sensors to spot stairs and ledges. Here is a Checklist for Stair Safety:

Check Stairless Mode: Ensure Stairless Mode is turned off if you have stairs. Go to Settings > General > Stairless Mode and disable it.
Create No-Go Zones for Stairs: For stairs under 10cm, create a no-go zone in the app to prevent the robot from going near them.

Does the Narwal Freo Z10 robot come with cleaning solutions?

No, the Freo Z10 does not include floor cleaner—we let you choose what works best.

Your Options:

Prefer cleaner? Purchase cleaning tablets from Narwal official channels (perfect for deep cleaning).
No chemical? Just use water. The robot still delivers powerful mopping without additives.

Safety First:

Always keep cleaning tablets out of reach of kids and pets to prevent accidental swallowing.

How do I reconnect my Freo Z10 to Wi-Fi via the app?

Just follow these steps:

Open the app and go to the Device Homepage.
Tap the Settings icon (top-right corner).
Choose Device > Reset Network to start reconnection.

Note：Make sure your Wi-Fi password is ready and the robot is near your router. (Only support 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. )
